During the excavation of the “Hellenistic ship”, four fragmentary terracotta perfume burners (thymiateria) were found, with the representation of female busts. Only one of the four still has the remains of the tub, which was probably destined to contain the essences to be burned, still visible on its head. Objects similar to these have been found in the Alicante area (an incredible amount is exhibited in the beautiful museum); this suggests that even the thymiaterias found in the Pisan context may have come from the Iberian peninsula.
