Inside a prison, the half-figure Saint has her face turned towards the hand that presses the cloth on her bleeding breast, an allusion to the martyrdom inflicted on her. Below it is possible to read an initials, perhaps of the author of the painting, identified by Carli (1938) and by Commodo Izzo (1951) in Andrea Vaccaro.
