The show

ANCONA - Toccar con Mano i Longobardi will be inaugurated on Saturday 8 February 2020 at 5.00 pm at the Omero State Tactile Museum in Ancona.

The exhibition is part of the homonymous project for which the Associazione Italia Langobardorum, management structure of the UNESCO site "Lombards in Italy. The places of power (568-774 AD) ", chaired by Laura Castelletti, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Brescia, obtained from MiBACT the recognition of its value and the admission to finance under Law 77/2006" Protection measures and use in favor of Italian UNESCO sites ”.

The exhibition, created in collaboration with the Homer State Tactile Museum, aims to raise awareness of the extraordinary nature and complexity of the UNESCO site through a tactile path and a differentiated range of fruition options that facilitate understanding, ensuring everyone a optimal multisensory experience.

Seven three-dimensional scale models of the architectural monuments that best represent the Lombard serial site and seven models relating to the areas where the monuments are located will be exhibited, to allow tactile exploration of their contexts of origin.

To make the route even more accessible will be the audio descriptions to be listened to via NFC and QR code, as well as a catalog in Braille and one in large print.

The inclusive project involved the prisoners of the Spoleto prison house, both for the construction of the exhibition stands for the set-up, with the carpentry shop, and for the recording of audio guides and videos, with the company #SineNomine.
