Inauguration December 6 at 17:00.

The Omero State Tactile Museum hosts the exhibition "Le Patamacchine", or a lifesaver essential for the survival of the imaginary. It is an interactive set-up, conceived and created by the Association La luna al guinzaglio of Potenza, Salone dei Rifiutati.

The collection of works is inspired by the useless machines of the Swiss sculptor Jean Tinguely and the principles of Jarry's Pataphysics, or the "Science of imaginary solutions".

The inauguration is scheduled for Tuesday 6 December at 17:00. Together with the President of the Omero Museum, Aldo Grassini, and the museum staff, Sara Stolfi from the Salone dei Rifiutati cooperative and Mariangela Tolve from the La luna al leginzaglio association will be present, who will guide guests on their discovery of the exhibition. Admission is free and without reservation.

Patamacchine, such as "The cataloger of dreams", "The pacificaphone", "The booster of self-esteem", are mechanical objects entirely built with waste or used material, in particular with WEEE (Waste electrical and electronic equipment).

They are machines fueled by the imagination, suspended between reality and nonsense, absurd, ironic, capable of entertaining, intriguing and creating perceptive confusion. Machines to interact with, through a special instruction booklet. Each object contains creative potential worthy of being welcomed and developed, because everything can be rediscovered in its thousand possibilities.

The exhibition intends to make the visitor reflect on the importance of human relationships and respect for the environment, opposing the disposable logic with creativity and imagination. The future of our environment depends on the way we live it and on the ecological dimension that we will be able to express.

The Homer Museum staff will guide you through the exhibition to challenge your imagination.
