45 METERS ABOVE ALBA:

Special guided tours to the bell tower of the cathedral of Alba

15 August 2026

Diocesan Museum of Alba

P.zza Rossetti (ingresso dal campanile della cattedrale), Alba

Closed today: open tomorrow at 15:00

Saturday, August 15th, the MUDI - Diocesan Museum of Alba is open to the public from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm and offers guided tours of the Romanesque bell tower of the Cathedral of Alba. The guides of the Diocesan Museum will accompany you up to 45 meters in height, walking along the ancient staircase built between the two bell towers of the 10th and 12th centuries. After admiring the city of Alba from above, you will descend and continue with the visit to the archaeological path located in the underground of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, which will allow you to discover important evidence from the Roman and medieval periods, including the pavement of the decumanus of Alba Pompeia and the baptismal font from the 6th century.

The past comes to life thanks to the digital innovations of the renewed multimedia setup. Sound stories, evocative sounds, and video mapping take you on a journey through time!

A guided tour is scheduled at 5:30 pm

Reservation is mandatory due to the limited number of available seats.
