Attracted by mythological narratives and legends, Amalia Vekri creates paintings with a dreamlike atmosphere, capable of offering profound reflections on the female body and subverting traditional gender roles. Amalia's desire to dedicate herself to the figure of the Anguana-Longana , mythical aquatic figures, often represented as very beautiful and intelligent, but vengeful and disturbing women, was born from the proximity of Cascina IDEA to three large lakes.
