Rachele Bianchi Archive

The Rachele Bianchi Archive is a cultural association dedicated to Rachele Bianchi, sculptor and designer , founded in 2019, one year after the artist's death. It is based in Milan , in the prestigious Palazzo Lombardo in Via Legnano 14 and aims to give visibility and continuity to Rachele Bianchi's work , but also to support the cultural contribution of women in the city of Milan and more generally in society.

The Rachele Bianchi archive intends to study, catalog and promote her work and that of women active in society through art. For this reason, the symbol of the association is an open network, former signature of Rachele, and emblem of female participation.

Rachele Bianchi (Milan, 1925-2018) is today among the worthy and illustrious citizens of Milan. After the war he chooses art as a space for emancipation. Self-taught and independent, he experimented throughout his life with materials, techniques, colors and shapes. He leaves us over 1600 works united by the protagonism of the female figure, read through the challenges that women have to face in their daily lives.

Rachele Bianchi's women travel and are now permanently exhibited in Athens, Cosenza, Loreto, Malta, Rome, Sondrio up to Milan, her city, where a monumental bronze figure (the first female work by a woman in a public space in the city ) ideally supervises the Central Station.
