The show

This autumn Kunst Meran Merano Arte will investigate the exciting phenomenon of translation through a group exhibition. 30 important national and international artists and artists will propose over 70 works capable of shedding light on the process of translation from unprecedented perspectives. For the first time, the works of artists including Annika Kahrs, Anri Sala, Babi Badalov, Ben Vautier, Carla Accardi, Cerith Wyn Evans, Christine Sun Kim & Thomas Mader, Ettore Favini, Elisabetta Gut, Franz will be linked Pichler, Irma Blank, Jorinde Voigt, Kader Attia, Katja Aufleger, Ketty La Rocca, Kinkaleri, Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Lawrence Weiner, Leander Schwazer, Lenora De Barros, Maria Stockner, Mirella Bentivoglio, Siggi Hofer, Slavs and Tatars, Tomaso Binga.

Drawing inspiration from the multilingual condition experienced in South Tyrol and its complex history of interethnic coexistence, Kunst Meran Merano Arte is the ideal context for an exhibition dedicated to translation, which intends to question concepts such as identity, multiculturalism, diversity.

THE POETRY OF TRANSLATION looks at the complex process of translation as both a source of participation, international understanding, creativity, genius and poetry as a possible cause of misunderstanding and exclusion. Translation is understood as a creative process that always results in something new.
