THE INVISIBLE LIGHT AMBROTIPIE BY LIGHTCATCHER is at the Lumen Museum in Brunico until October 31st.
The exhibition starts from the meaning of the word Ambrotos che in Greek it means “immortality” and this technique is used by LIGHTCATCHER , in particular Barbara Holzknecht and Kurt Moser.
Using this photographic process - from 1850 - with large and historic bellows cameras, unique pieces are created on noble black glass.
Each image is an analog positive of invisible light and pure silver, so there are no enlargements or prints or copies but unique pieces, a rarity in our fast-paced world of digital photography.
In THE INVISIBLE LIGHT AMBROTIPIE BY LIGHTCATCHER inside the Dolomitica room of the Lumen museum, the visitor can look through one of these historic cameras, closely observing the richness of details and the depth of these images.
