The show

The Made in Cloister Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the Pelle Rossa exhibition by Jean-Loup Champion within the LAB.Oratorio space, a multidisciplinary space born from the recovery of another area of the Monumental Complex of S. Caterina in Formiello whose restoration ended in 2020 and was inaugurated in 2021 with Diego Cibelli's exhibition, FEED me with domestic stuff.

“We are pleased to host this project by Jean-Loup Champion, in the spaces of the LAB.Oratorio and to have been able to collaborate with the artist in the installation. In the recovery program of the entire Monumental Complex of S. Caterina, the restoration and return of this space to cultural activities enriches the Made in Cloister program by constituting a "project space" dedicated to exhibition, research and experimentation ". (Davide de Blasio - Made in Cloister Foundation)

"Entering Jean-Loup Champion's exhibition, in the white room of the LAB.Oratorio gallery, is like looking out, or rather falling, into an unexpected garden, where apparently threatening plants flourish, unknown animals are perched on supports and walls rubescent coats of arms are lined up. Already from the bright carmine that unites them one feels rejected and attracted: it is an alarming, almost hostile color, which seems to cancel their physicality, hurting the eyes and blinding us with its intensity. " ( Angela Tecce - President of the Donnaregina Foundation for Contemporary Arts)
