In a kind of mind map of analogue black and white shots, Austrian photographer Anja Manfredi (born in Lienz in 1978 - currently living in Vienna) weaves a wide variety of associations with the concept of Atlas - a stimulating research that concretizes unrelated relationships. conventional between mountain landscapes, mythology, art and cultures beyond space-time boundaries.

This complex repertoire of themes is presented in all its facets: from the majestic mountain range in North West Africa to the titan of Greek mythology, condemned by Zeus to support the celestial vault, passing through the so-called atlases, the important decorative elements in the form of pillars from the masculine features that find their feminine counterpart in the caryatids or korai, up to the symbolic action of carrying.
