The show

The first stage of 2023 of the PTM A/R project begins with Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo in Brescia and a happy exchange of masterpieces with the Carrara Academy in Bergamo , which will enrich the schedule of exhibitions of the year of the Italian Capital of Culture together with the permanent collections .

Giovanni _ Busi, known as Cariani (1485/1490 – post 1547): Madonna and Child with Saints Alexander, Helena, Mary Magdalene, Anna, Joseph (Gioacchino), John the Baptist, Francis of Assisi, John , better known as the Invention of cross . Guest of honor in room VI , alongside artists such as Lotto and Moretto , it temporarily takes the place of the masterpiece in the Pinacoteca, Adoration of the Shepherds (about 1540) by Giovanni Gerolamo Savoldo (1480 - post 1548) leaving for Bergamo.

A virtuous exchange that offers an original glimpse of the great pictorial season of the Renaissance between Bergamo and Brescia, capable of offering new points of view on the importance of dialogue and the movement of artists in the area, artists who lived between these and other neighboring cities, studied, known, created.
