The Casamonti Collection was inaugurated in 2018, at the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni, the jewel-like architectural masterpiece of Renaissance architecture designed by Baccio d’Agnolo. This year, the collection is set to undergo a radical transformation.
During the first and very successful year of its opening, the display of works at Palazzo Salimbeni was centred around art from the first half of the 20th century. This year, the focus will be on museum-quality works produced during the second half of the 20th century.
The list of artists present is a veritable who’s who of Post-War art.
