Curated by: Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Achille Bonito Oliva
The Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art and the CRRI (Castello di Rivoli Research Center) present the A.B.O. THEATRON. The Art or Life that investigates the figure of one of the most important art historians, critics and contemporary curators, Achille Bonito Oliva (Caggiano, 1939).
After the exhibition dedicated to Harald Szeemann in 2019, organized in collaboration with the Getty Research Institute of Los Angeles, the exhibition dedicated to Achille Bonito Oliva constitutes the second chapter of the great project dedicated by the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art and by CRRI to most authoritative curators of contemporary art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
A.B.O. THEATRON. Art or Life was curatorially developed by Andrea Viliani, Head and Curator of CRRI based on a concept by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev and Achille Bonito Oliva, with a Scientific Committee composed of Marcella Beccaria, Chief Curator and Curator of the Collections of Museum, and Cecilia Casorati, Laura Cherubini, Stefano Chiodi, Paola Marino, art historians and curators who over the years have followed with particular attention the research and essay and exhibition activities of Achille Bonito Oliva.
