The show

After the first autumn stop at the Triennale Milano headquarters (from 1 October to 7 November 2021), the exhibition now moves to the headquarters of the National Roman Museum - Palazzo Altemps in Rome , from 24 June to 4 September 2022 .

The exhibition brings together a selection of 110 images taken by young photographers along ten itineraries that cross our peninsula and tell the variety of its contemporary architectural heritage. Between 2019 and 2020, thanks to a public selection promoted by the General Management of Contemporary Creativity and aimed at authors under 40, Roberto Boccaccino, Marina Caneve, Davide Cossu, Louis De Belle, Luca Girardini and Marco Zorzanello, Paolo Lindozzi, Allegra Martin, Simone Mizzotti, Flavia Rossi, Alberto Sinigaglia have produced a corpus of nearly 3000 photographs to document over 250 architectures, from recognized masterpieces to the most surprising and lesser-known buildings.

The images implement the Atlante Architettura Contemporanea platform (www.atlantearchitettura.beniculturali.it), created in 2018 by the General Direction for Contemporary Creativity to enhance the contents of the National Census of late twentieth century architecture (currently being updated) and to tell the story of Italy, through the original gaze of architectural photographers.

The exhibition, thanks to a scenographic and evocative setting conceived by Studio Folder of Milan, which in the Palazzo Altemps headquarters occupies almost the entire central courtyard, presents 110 medium and large format prints on a relief map of the Peninsula, which allows visitors to physically retrace the itineraries traced by photographers along the Italian territory.
