Don Quixote space

Don Quixote space

In April 2013 the Bottari Lattes Foundation inaugurated the Don Quixote Space , from an idea by Caterina Bottari Lattes .

The Don Quixote exhibition space bears the name of the historic Roman gallery directed by Giuliano De Marsanich , inaugurated with a solo exhibition by Mario Lattes in 1962 and presented by Alberto Moravia, with the aim of continuing the activity begun in Rome for many years with other collaborators. does.

Don Quixote means risk but also hope.

This seems to be the best way to remember Mario Lattes , an anomalous intellectual figure in the Turin landscape of the second half of the twentieth century, a man who was able to critically observe his time, proposing a cultural model, which is still relevant and stimulating today.

Spazio Don Quixote is dedicated not only to exhibitions of painting, engraving and photography , but also hosts literary and musical events , acting as a meeting place where artists, intellectuals, experts or simply curious can exchange ideas, proposals and projects.
