The show

Butterflies don't live in the ghetto and little Pavel, imprisoned in the Terezín extermination camp, knows it.

The Day of Remembrance celebrated at the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto in memory of all the victims of the Holocaust is dedicated to him and his butterflies, next Thursday 27 January.

In collaboration with the “Alexander Wiesel” section of the Italy-Israel Association of Bari, the theater “CREST - Collective of expressive research and theatrical experimentation” will stage the theatrical show “Le farfalle of Terezín ".

Inside the Meeting Room of the MArTA (limited capacity due to the containment of the COVID-19 virus) there will be space, in the performance of the actor Giovanni Guarino, the theatrical text freely taken from "La Repubblica delle farfalle" by Matteo Corradini: a hymn to life against the horrors of Nazism in which the children of the ghetto of Terezín became protagonists who, even in the midst of all that violence, were able to give life to their dreams in the clandestine magazine of the Vedem (Avant-garde).
