National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia verified

Piazzale di Villa Giulia, 9 - Rome, Lazio, Italy open

closed The ear of Giano Villa Giulia

The event

Saturday 9 October at 5 pm the 2021 season of L'Orecchio di Giano-I naviganti del Tempo at Villa Giulia ends with an all-Finnish program: Eero Kesti on viola and Esa Ylönen on piano perform music by Kesti himself and Uuno Klami ( 1900-1961), whose compositions are among the most popular in Finland after those of Jean Sibelius.

In 2020 it was the 120th anniversary of the birth of Uuno Klami. With the closure of all cultural activities due to Covid-19, we wanted to celebrate this anniversary in 2021 with various initiatives, in Finland and also here in Rome, the city where the composer lived in the 1950s and which he created in him multiple artistic suggestions. The title of the event has thus been remodeled in Uuno / 121, with a play on words and numbers that alludes to the years of the Maestro.
