Thursday, May 23, at 6.00 pm the Museo delle Permanente inaugurates "Io e LEONARDO. Artisti della Permanente e l'eredità di Leonardo". The exhibition, curated by the Artistic Commission of the Permanent composed by Renato Galbusera, Giovanni Mattio and Armanda Verdirame, sees the participation of over one hundred and fifty artist members, including sculptors and painters, different in discipline, technique and age. Under the patronage of the Municipality of Milan and included in the Milan Leonardo 500 program, the initiative stems from a reflection on the theme of contamination, identifying Leonardo da Vinci as the highest model. Far from wanting to be a tribute, a revisitation or a celebration, the Artistic Commission has invited every single artist to ask himself about the cultural legacy that the Renaissance genius has handed down to him, to discover the influences that derive from it on his own work, or the dialectical relationship between his own art and his innumerable interests or, again, the stimuli that can be drawn from it for a job that you want to propose authentic and actual. Thanks to the large participation of the artist's members, the exhibition itinerary presents the public with a rich and articulated overview of the many pictorial and sculptural languages of today. "Io e LEONARDO. Artisti della Permanente e l'eredità di Leonardo" represents not only the element of greater continuity with the exhibition tradition of the Permanent, but also an important opportunity to update on the different expressive forms that characterize the contemporary. As part of the exhibition, for the recent death, the Permanent Councilor Enrico Provasi (Cabiate 1946- Barlassina, 2018), with an original nucleus of his works, is recalled.
