Guided tour | A world in the city
A tour that tells the story of the Museum, of the different settings and spaces that house and have hosted objects from distant cultures, witnesses of encounters and relationships. A look that is intertwined with the history of the missionaries, the institute and the places of PIME - Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions - which today opens up to citizenship in the spaces of the Mother House, a building built in the early twentieth century as a seminary for missionaries from Milan they left for the world. Inaugurated on 1 December 1906 and the protagonist of an innovative renovation completed in 2019, the Mother House hosts the PIME Center with the Popoli e Culture Museum, organized into thematic sections and enriched by multimedia stations that offer the opportunity to deepen some contents through more interactive and engaging ways.
