The show

At the Capuchin Museum from 19 March Gentile da Fabriano, Sano di Pietro the Breviary of Saint Clare and precious thirteenth-century parchments on display for the eight hundred years of Franciscan presence in Milan.

In this small exhibition, Gentile da Fabriano from the Pinacoteca Malaspina of the Civic Museums of Pavia and two small but precious panels by Sano di Pietro from the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Siena will accompany precious archival material (13th century parchments) and books (including the breviary of Clare of Assisi).

The exhibition will also be an opportunity to talk about the female Franciscan presence in Milan where, when St. Francis and St. Clare were still alive, the first community of Poor Clares was born around the monastery of Sant'Apollinare.
