The winning work will become part of the Cairo Prize Collection and the artist will be awarded a prize of 25 thousand euros.

Born in 2000 from the will of President Urbano Cairo to support young Italian artists and to make the public aware of new protagonists, new trends and new languages present in contemporary art research, the Cairo Prize, now in its 21st edition, was confirmed in time as the most authoritative and prestigious opportunity for young artists in Italy.

An important springboard that offers artists the dual opportunity to consolidate themselves in the national and international artistic panorama and to live a great experience: selected year after year by the editorial staff of Arte and called to create unpublished works for the occasion, evaluated by a Jury of the highest profile made up of authoritative museum directors, art critics and historians and masters of contemporary Italian art.

From 11 to 16 October at the Royal Palace, the exhibition will open free of charge to the public who will be able to admire the 20 unpublished works in competition and the entire Cairo Prize Collection.
