The taste for antiquity belonged to the Gonzaga of Mantua and the great artistic civilization back to live in the museum of the Palazzo San Sebastiano city, recovered the home of Francesco II Gonzaga and "Triumphs of Caesar" by Mantegna. An extraordinary group of works belonging to the Civic Collections tell the Mantua between Humanism and Renaissance statues, busts and ancient and Renaissance reliefs, paintings, frescoes, seventeenth-century copies of the Triumphs Mantegna, coats of arms, refined architectural finds from the city's monuments and its surroundings. The Palace offers the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Loggia dei Marmi and beautiful cycles of frescoes of the fifteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
