Curated by: Maria Grazia Dallera

The show

The exhibition is dedicated to the trees used in the past to build boats and sailing ships: forty drawings on paper inspired by Genoa, the sea, navigation, wooden boats. Sketches with nibs and inks made from berries and flowers, handcrafted by the author. Exhibition accompanied by a catalog, in collaboration with Mu.MA and the Association of Sea and Navigation Museums Promoters.

The exhibition can be visited until January 30 at the Saletta dell’Arte. At the inauguration, which includes a first moment in the Auditorium and a second in the Art Room, he will speak together with the artist and curator Maurizio Daccà Vice President of the Association of Promoters of the Sea Museums onlus and Councilor Mu.MA.

Maria Grazia Dallera is known as the "lady of the trees": she represents a wood that is a living and pulsating material, enhancing the culture of using and reusing wood and natural materials to improve the quality of life. Tackle an original theme with simplicity; its woods enhance the scents of the Ligurian land and sea with delicate hints of color, the history of the Galata Museo del Mare, the largest maritime museum in the Mediterranean.
