The show

Museion reopens to the public with the solo exhibition of artist Karin Sander “Skulptur / Sculpture / Scultura”.

“If working on a contemporary art exhibition always means building a dynamic project, which changes as it evolves, in this case we have faced truly exceptional and unexpected circumstances. Thanks to the artist's way of working, we are able to offer everyone a remote virtual tour, as a preview of the exhibition. But I am particularly happy to be able to guarantee a “physical” use of the exhibition from the beginning, since, as this period has shown, the physicality of the encounter between the work and the public is irreplaceable ”- so Letizia Ragaglia, director of Museion.

Karin Sander 's projects (Bensberg, Germany, 1957) are born with reference to existing situations; with a sense of humor, the artist faces everyday cultural scenarios and their institutional and historical context. In doing so, Sander intervenes in the structures of the institutions, modifies them, highlights existing facts and circumstances and invites the public to participate. What is apparently familiar is rethought and becomes the starting point for a process of exploration .
